We all know books are more than just information spread across pages.
At their core, books provide freedom. They provide access to a better life.
Now I know this is a big claim—and there will be skeptics out there who would love to tear this down.
You know, people who believe you can get the same results that reading offers by watching a video synopsis on Youtube…
Or, by skimming through a set of bullet points on an app, which highlights and pairs down the subjects covered by a book.
This is the “ease of access” argument.
It’s a is a pretty strong one, too.
And it’s sways a lot of people who are looking for instant gratification.
For anyone who’s looking to speed their way through information, it’s an attractive offer.
“Time saved is time earned.”
But, can you think back to the last time you ever heard someone say the book they just finished was a waste of time?
A Startup Reader is someone who realizes there’s a difference between reading off the chapters from a table of contents and being able to speak about the specific ideas covered in a book.
The truth is: Reading provides long-term value.
This is the exact reason why successful people gift books to their friends.
They understand when you crack open a book you’re rewiring the mind for the better.
If you are someone who recognized this, then you’re a Startup Reader.
Tell me if I’m wrong, but your instinct tells you that by picking up a book you’re allowing yourself to model success like those who’ve already paved the way.
Even when you’re pressed for time you still find a way to pick up a book on the daily.
You’re listening to your gut.
In the process you’re also gaining access to new ideas that only a few others have the ability to see.
Just as Time is the most precious resource we all have, knowledge is by far a commodity too few are willing to take to the bank.
I know I’m laying it on thick right now by putting the act of reading on such a high pedestal.
In my defense, this is because I’ve experienced just how powerful books are first hand.
And, I’ve witnessed how reading transforms the lives of others.
Simply by adding reading into your everyday life you can “feel” the culminating impact it makes.
You allow the subconscious mind the ability to ruminate over ideas when you take the time to read a book.
It’s the experience of physically reading the pages that cements the knowledge into your brain.
Because, at the end of the day, we’re all looking to get results.
We’re all looking to gain insight about ourselves.
We all know plateaus deserve to be overcome.
You’re a Startup Reader because to get traction on your work…
To reach a goal…
Or to get more out of life…
You’re ready for the challenge.
(Plus, you’ve never been one to shy away from putting in the work.)
You’re driven to reach beyond your goals.
Your positive mindset is aching for growth.
And, we’re honored to be apart of your journey.
From one Startup Reader to another let me say “Welcome!”
